COUNTDOWN! Just one day to go.... Book Fair and Book Character Parade

Our Book Fair will get off to a fun start at 8:55 this Tuesday with a parade of book characters under the COLA. Parents and friends are all invited to join us. Cameras welcome too!

The display and sale of books will take place in The Learning Hub on Tuesday and Wednesday. Parents and friends are invited to come in before school on both days or after school on Tuesday.

Students will be able to browse and buy books during both days.
Stay Informed: Chat with us!

During the early weeks of September, teachers are making times available for parents to have an informal chat about how their child's learning has progressed since the mid year report. It's an opportunity to check on how things are going or to let teachers know about anything that they might find helpful to be aware of.

Our quick and convenient online booking system is open. It provides an email confirmation of your booking with each teacher. You'll also receive a text reminder on the day of each meeting. Be sure to provide a valid email address and mobile number.

Volunteers Meeting for Rides Day

Thank you to our Rides and Fun Day volunteers. It's not too late to add your name to our list. Just let the office know. We'll be having a short meeting on Tuesday 5 September at 9:15am in the Kitchen.

We will discuss organisational matters including a roster so that everyone gets plenty of time to enjoy the day with their children as well as help on stalls.

Hope you can come along.

Excursion Fun!!
Killalea State Park Excursion
Students in Kindergarten, K/1 and 1/2 had a fantastic day last Thursday as they travelled to Killalea State Park. It was a whirlwind of a day as they explored the forests, lagoons and beaches of the beautiful park. They made maps in the sand, learned about native species and even had the opportunity to catch insects in nets. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to explore our geography unit in a hands-on way. The teachers were particularly pleased with the fantastic behaviour of all children.
4/5 and 5/6 - National Museum of Australia

The National Museum Of Australia was great!

The bus ride was very long though. It took 2 hours and 46 minutes, but it still was fun. At the museum, there were lots of things to see and do. We all got to create our own character and then we had a competition to see which team would win. Then we went to the history room where everything is old. There were different weapons and many clothes. They had necklaces and shells and different models of ships and warplanes. There were also trophies of the famous winners back in the day. We all had a fun time. By Phoenix Duncan
