Mr Bridgement retires, Calling all chocolate lovers: Term 1 | Week 6

Farewell, Mr Bridgement!

Our beloved groundskeeper retires

Last Tuesday afternoon, Lake Heights PS paid tribute to Mr Bridgement, our much loved groundskeeper, who has finally made the decision to lay down his tools.

Some of you may remember from when Mr Bridgement received an educational award for his service in 2016, that his service in public education has spanned more than 66 years, as a teacher, principal and then groundskeeper. Mr Bridgement has a wonderful sense of humour. He is thrifty and resourceful, but perhaps his most admirable trait is that he cares. He cares about our school and he cares about the children. He could often be seen pottering around the school patching up problems and fixing broken things, on weekends, holidays and during his days off. He took pride in the appearance of our school and devoted countless unpaid hours to ensure its upkeep. Mr Bridgement is an institution at LHPS and will be dearly missed. So long, Mr Bridgement. We hope to see you back for morning tea sometime soon!
