A message from Year 6
Year 6 would love to extend an enormous thanks to those families who very generously donated and bought cakes at their cake stall last week. It was a very successful day, with almost $300 raised to make the very expensive year six shirts, a little bit more affordable for families.

Our school recently received a donation of $300 from the Berkeley Hotel. Their Stamp Thai restaurant was recently voted Illawarra's best Thai eatery. Please keep them in mind when planning a function, work place event or family meal. Their support of Lake Heights PS is much appreciated.
School photo order forms
School photo order forms were sent home last week and are due back on 29 March. If you have more than one child at the school and would like them to have a family photo, order forms are available from the office. School photos will be taken on 4 April this year and students should wear their full school uniform to school for their photo.

Wondering how you can be a part of LHPS and the great work done by our P&C?

Join us for the Annual General Meeting of P&C, this Tuesday at 9:15 in the kitchen. The meeting will include reports on our progress and achievements from 2017. All positions will be declared vacant and an election for President, Secretary and Treasurer will be held. Morning tea available. All welcome. Hope you can join us!
Easter Hat Parade

Join us on Thursday 29 March at 10:30am, for our annual Easter Hat Parade. Parents and friends are invited to attend the parade and stay to have lunch with their children at 11:00am.

Have you ordered your sausage sizzle? Sausage sizzle order forms were sent home in the last few weeks and can be returned to the office. Additional copies are available from The Hub or by download here. Thank you to everyone who has sold raffle tickets. Proceeds can be returned to the office.
Book Club
Book club orders are due this Tuesday 20th March. The current catalogue can be accessed here. It is easy to order. Simply fill out the order form, put it in an envelope with the money and place it in the collection box provided in the office. Orders can also be placed online at scholastic.com.au/loop , or via the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Each order helps earn free books and resources for the school library .​
Week seven in review
Last week we farewelled Mrs Upeski, who is due to welcome a baby into her family in the coming weeks. We also did some serious learning. It was another great week at LHPS.
