Our P&C has formed for the year, with lots of new faces joining the ranks. The P&C will be meeting again on 15 May and would love to see you there to share a coffee and a few ideas.

The P&C will be holding a Mother's Day Stall this Thursday. Prices start at $2 and every purchase receives a ticket in the draw to win a new robe for mum.
District Cross Country - this Friday

District cross country will be held this Friday, at the Kembla Joggers Cross Country Running Park. Lake Heights will be well and truly represented, with almost 40 competitors competing in Friday's events.

The first race commences at 10:25am, however, students need to arrive before 10am as they will have the opportunity to walk the course before the race.

Distances are 2km for 8 to 10 year olds and 3km for 11-13s.

There is a $5 entrance fee, payable on arrival.

Entrants have been given a permission slip and additional forms are available at the Hub or by download here.

Best of luck to all of the students competing.
Shop open - lunch orders available
Our neighbouring shop has reopened for business, which means that lunch orders are now available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Lunch order forms are available from The Hub or can be printed here.
NAPLAN for Years 3 & 5
Next week, our students in years three and five will sit their NAPLAN assessments. There are four assessments carried out over three days:
  • Tuesday -Language Conventions and Writing
  • Wednesday - Reading
  • Thursday - Mathematics
Students don't need to do anything to prepare at home, but should try to relax, get a good rest the night before each test, eat a healthy breakfast each morning and participate in lots of outside play in between. NAPLAN results will be available later in the year. For more information about NAPLAN, please visit the ACARA website or speak to your child's teacher.
