Dust off those flannelette shirts! Come dressed as a farmer this Thursday 20 September, and bring along a gold coin to support our farmers in need.
We'll be bootscooting from 9am to get our bodies moving and ready for learning. Family and friends are welcome to join us for the occasion.
P&C Cake Stall
Raising money for Buy a Bale
To add to our day of celebrations, the P&C will be holding a cake stall this Thursday, with cakes starting at $1. Donations of cakes to sell will be gratefully received by our P&C mums. Please drop them off to the kitchen on the day.
Proceeds from the cake stall will go towards the RuralAid drought appeal, along with all money raised from Farm Day.
Regional athletics carnival results
Last Friday, eight athletes from Lake Heights Public School represented at our school at the Regional Athletics Carnival. These students showcased astounding talent and dedication making it to this level of competition, having already competed and placed at the top of their field at the school and district carnivals.
All of the students competed with the same level of commitment and determination that we would expect of students at Lake Heights, and performed well in their individual events. In particular, Destin Tausala should be commended on a great race, placing 3rd in his heat. Unfortunately none of our athletes made it to the finals, but are hopeful that they might have the opportunity again next year.
Congratulations, once again, to Sharni, Phoenix, Keeghan, Hayden, Destin, Deegan, Jay and Isadora. We're very proud of your efforts.
A reminder that our K-2 students are off on an excursion next Monday to Shoalhaven Zoo.
Permission slips and payment are NOW DUE to the office. Extra copies of the permission slip are available from The Hub.
Tell them from me survey
Thanks to those parents who have already completed the Tell Them From Me survey. Our aim is to reach as many families as possible, so that our direction is guided by our whole community.
If you haven't already, please take the time to have your say. It's anonymous, confidential and will help us know what you'd like to see in our school. The survey will be open until the end of September.

The Stewart House clothing appeal is currently underway.
