Ship ahoy!

Our Lake Heights boat has arrived to become a permanent fixture in our adventure playground. The boat will be placed near our "soon-to-come" sandpit. Thank you Vaughn, Mr Leland and Mr Pianon for all your hard work. Stay tuned for more exciting developments.

School crossing

You may have noticed the "children crossing" flags which have been used mornings and afternoons on Northcliffe Drive. These flags are being used to alert drivers to our crossing, as Northcliffe Drive is a very busy road. Always cross safely and wait for cars to come to a complete stop in both directions.

District Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to all the students who participated in last Fridays District Carnival. We are all so very proud of your achievements. Junior Girls Relay team placed 3rd and Hannah placed 3rd in 8yrs Girls 50m Freestyle.

Fine dining

As more and more works go on about our school, I'm sure you will have noticed the new tables and chairs that are now available to students for lunch and recess. These blue tables and yellow high-back chairs are situated under the new umbrellas. More to come with additional changes around the school. Have you seen the beginnings of the new library steps and the foundations laid for the new sports shed?

This week in video.

Black shoe shuffle

You must be so proud. What a huge success. After a quick survey last week, we are proud to announce that 98% of students are wearing black shoes to school everyday. This statistic is increasing each week and we are rapidly approaching 100% in black shoes. Well done, everyone.

Merit Awards

Buy or swap

The LHPS Community Garden group held two very successful buy or swap mornings last week. Parents, staff, students and community members all came along to either buy some herb boxes, salad boxes or even bunches of herbs whilst others swapped with items such as chilli plants, seedlings and seed packets. The Group would like to thank all of the keen shoppers and swappers. Keep an eye out for our next buy and swap morning, coming soon.

Shop closed

Reminder: The shop is now closed until 14 March and there are no lunch orders.

Thank you to our respondents so far. Please complete this online form if you are interested in after school care at Kemblawarra. You may need to log in with a google account. Paper forms are available at the Hub and school office. They can be dropped off at the office this week.

Dentist visit soon

Later this term, parental consent forms for a new dental service will be sent home to families. "The School Dentist" is a service with a sound reputation that we are confident will deliver the service they promise. Keep an eye out for consent forms expected late March.
