Anzac Day service
Each class has prepared some amazing work to display around the school in preparation for our Anzac service. We will be holding our Anzac Day service this Tuesday 9 April at 10:15 am. All are welcome to attend this important remembrance ceremony. We have a special guest speaker from Rotary attending.
The Easter Parade is on this Wednesday 10 April at 10:30 am under the COLA. Lots of creative ideas are out there to make your own Easter themed hats, bonnets and caps at home. K-2 will be making and creating simple hats in class. Don't forget to buy tickets in the Easter Raffle, too. A huge amount of prizes to be won, then stay for a sausage sizzle lunch with us.
With clear blue skies, funky music and a sea of green, red and blue, our Cross Country ran without a hitch. Well done to everyone for cheering and supporting each other. The House chants and cries were so loud. Thank you to parents, friends and families for coming along to support our school. We really enjoyed the refreshing fruit cups and ice cream kindly prepared and distributed by our lovely parent helpers. Congratulations to all of the winners and good luck to all those participating in the District Cross Country Carnival on Tuesday 7 May.

Calling all volunteers
During the school holidays, the Community Garden Group is holding a Working Bee to keep up the maintenance of our school's Living Classroom Project. If you are able to help, please come along on Wednesday 17 April at 10 am. The Working Bee will conclude at around 1 pm. Hope you can come along to help out with our garden.
You can dance
After such a successful and amazing show last year, Lake Heights is again participating in Southern Stars in 2019. We have been accepted as a part of Primary Dance, where students will participate in choreographed dances with hundreds of other students. The opportunity to be a part of Southern Stars is being offered to students in Years 2 – 6. This is an exciting and joyful experience for all participants. A note is soon to be available. As there are limited spaces, to secure your child’s place, we will be asking for a non-refundable $20 deposit to be paid to the office as soon as possible. Click the photo above to see one of the many Southern Stars promotional videos available.
