Up for the challenge

The annual multicultural speaking competitions are now on. Students from years 3-6 are busy writing speeches which will be presented to their class this week. The topics are varied and range from "Every child matters" to "What would Captain Cook say?". Finalists from each class will present their speech in Week 8 in the Learning Hub. Parents and Guardians of these finalists will be invited to this event. The top two students from Stage 2 and 3 will be invited to the area finals at Cringila Public School on Monday 24 June.

Boys will be playing dragon tag and girls will be playing soccer at Noel Mulligan Park, Warrawong. We will be leaving school at 9:15 am via private transport. Students will need to bring recess, lunch and plenty of water.

Come Alive

Southern Stars will be here before we know it. Miss Hunter and Mr Hurd will be attending the teachers meeting next week to find out about the show run, song choices, theme and costume designs for this spectacular event. The third instalment for payment will be due soon. Please check to see that all payments are up to date. What is Southern Stars all about? Stay warm in uniform

Our school now has laundry facilities. Everything from kitchen aprons, tea towels, loan hats and donated uniforms are washed and dried. A fresh supply of loan jumpers in various sizes is kept at the office. If your child is unable to wear their uniform jumper for any reason, they can always borrow a clean, fresh one from our office. Loan hats and jumpers have ‘LHPS’ marked on the label. Just send loan items back the next day if they happen to get worn home and we’ll put them through the wash for the next time someone needs one. Pre-loved jumpers gratefully accepted.
