Good luck

Good luck to all the participants who will be presenting their speeches at Warrawong High School this Wednesday. Public speaking builds confidence, resilience and is a valuable skill that will assist students throughout their school career and into their adult lives. Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will be competing against students from our local community of schools. All participants are to meet Mrs Banfield at Warrawong High School at 9:00am outside the hall.

Toastmasters

Toastmasters International are hosting a Youth Leadership Showcase at Warrawong High School on Thursday, September 26 at 6:00pm. Three Year 5 students have been participating in a weekly training program this Term with other students from our local community of schools. The showcase is the culmination of all their hard work. The Youth Leadership Program consisted of eight one-hour sessions that enabled students to develop their communication and leadership skills through practical experience. In the workshops, students learned valuable skills including evaluating their own speaking ability, preparing and giving speeches, giving impromptu talks as well as, controlling their voice, vocabulary and gestures.
