WACKI winners

Well done Year 5/6 and Mr Finn with your success last Wednesday evening at the Wacki film festival. You won second place with your inspired and funny film "When I Grow Up".

Splish! Splosh! Splash!

Swimming scheme starts next Monday 2 Dec for all our keen swimmers. Students will have an early recess and get ready for the bus to leave promptly at 1:25pm. The bus will return to school around 2:45pm. Each child should bring a swimming costume, a towel, shirt, hat and warm clothing on a cool day. Students should use adequate sun protection, SPF 30+ broad spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen applied regularly, each day, for the next ten school days.

Disco Fever

Both K-2 and 3-5 discos are rapidly approaching. The K-2 disco will be held on Tuesday 3 Dec and the 3-5 disco will be held on Wednesday 11 Dec. Dancing commences at 3:30pm and continues until the last dance at 5:00pm on each occasion. Notes have been sent home regarding snacks and gold coin donation. Looking forward to seeing everyone bust some moves.

All Stars

Congratulations to Charlotte Gray who participated in the All Stars Year 5 Netball Program at Illawarra Sports High School. Charlotte had great attendance and an excellent attitude over the 9 training sessions throughout 2019. We are so proud of her dedication to netball. This program was a first in the Illawarra Region and proudly sponsored in conjunction with Illawarra District Netball Association and Illawarra Sports High School.

And the winner is...

Raffle tickets are selling well for our Presentation Day Raffle. We need more donations of in-date and new, packaged products, including food, games, toys, and Christmas items to fill our baskets. Thank you to all those who have generously donated goods/items already.

Rise and shine

Congratulations to our Community Garden who have been invited to the 34th Anniversary Rise and Shine Annual Environmental Awards Presentation. The awards presentation takes place at 6:00pm next Thursday 5 December in Wollongong. All parents and students involved with Garden Group are invited to attend. Students must be in school uniform for photos. Good luck to our hard working students, teachers and Community Garden members. You have all been such busy bees this year.

Nominees

School leader nominations for leader positions in 2020 close this Friday 29 November. Students nominated are invited to make a short speech to the school at a 9:30am assembly on Friday 6 December, when voting will also take place. Parents and friends are welcome to attend.
