Proposed mass meeting

Mass meetings for teachers will be held this Thursday 5 December. The NSW Teachers Federation has called for mass meetings throughout the state this Thursday. Teachers will be meeting at various venues from 8:30am and will be returning to school at 10:30am. On Thursday, due to the number of teachers taking part, there will be minimal supervision available. Classes will resume from 10:30am, after the meetings conclude. Please note that swim school is not affected and students should come to school with their swimming gear.
And the nominees are ...
Congratulations to all of the nominees for leadership roles next year. Each of the nominees will present a short speech this Friday 6 December at 9:30am in the Learning Hub. All parents are welcome to attend. Voting will take place after the speeches. Good luck to all our nominees.

This Wednesday 4 December at 3:00-4:00pm, the Community Garden are holding Christmas craft activities. All students must be accompanied by an adult and cost is a gold coin donation. This will be the last after school Community Garden activity for the year.

Prizes galore

The P&C have some major prizes to give away at this year's Presentation Day Assembly. Raffle tickets are still available, so get in quick. The first prize is an 8ft trampoline. We also have two inflatable pools, toys, hampers and gift vouchers to give away. Thank you to everyone who have donated these amazing prizes.

School picnic

Our annual school picnic will be held on Tuesday 17 December at Reddall Reserve on the southwestern side of Windang Bridge. Fruit pieces, an ice block and drinks are provided along with free bus travel. Students just need to bring lunch and recess. Activities include sand play, ball games, riding (for primary), fishing, fixed equipment and island discovery walks. This is always a very enjoyable day.

Presentation Day

Our 2019 Presentation Day will be held next Wednesday 11 December at 9:30am. Presentation Day is a formal recognition of each year's successes and achievements. Awards and items include Class, Sports, School Citizenship and  School Spirit, just to name a few. Outgoing School Leaders’ address the assembly and we induct the 2020 School Leaders. K-2 and 3-6 items will provide entertainment during the 80-minute program. We also conduct the raffle drawer for all the amazing prizes that we have had donated.

Library stocktake

Mrs Giles is going to be very busy over the next few weeks as she checks every single library book and resource. All library books need to be returned so that they can be included in this year's stocktake. Please check in cupboards, under beds and on shelves for any books that you may have.

Our sandpit has proven to be very, very popular. Lots of castles and towers have been built as well as tunnels and caves. Unfortunately, we are running out of sand play toys and containers. If you have any spare toys, buckets and containers, we would greatly appreciate donations of these for the students to use.
