Busy, busy, busy

There's still lots to do until the end of the school year. Students will be bringing their reports home today. We have the second week of swimming school, Yr 6 off to Jamberoo, Presentation Day Assembly, disco 3-5, Year 6 Farewell, school picnic day, moving classrooms, cleaning storerooms, stocktaking and more. Keep an eye on the school website and google calendar for more information. The last day of school for students is Wednesday 18 December.
Swimming school
Swimming school continues this week with students participating in water safety lessons and small group swimming lessons. Friday 13 December is the last day and students often get to have a few games and fun on the last day.

Year 6 farewell

Year 5 students, staff and P&C members will farewell Year 6 at the Illawarra Yacht Club on Thursday 12 December. The evening starts at 6.30pm though we encourage students to arrive well before then. We will be having a yummy dinner, cake, as well as, photo opportunities, dancing (to an amazing DJ), trivia competition and speeches. Parents and family members are invited to join us from 8.30pm for the formal part of the evening.

Holiday roster

We need your help. The Community Garden has a watering roster available (drought restrictions permitting) for you to sign up to, for over the school holidays. The roster is situated at the Community Garden hub.

It's nearly time. The Annual School Picnic Day is just around the corner. If students (Years 3-6) are bringing scooters or skateboards on the day, they must also bring a helmet and appropriate protective gear. These will be carried on the bus by the students and will be used during park activities and breaks.

Share Our Space this summer

Share Our Space will begin on Monday 23 December 2019 and close on Friday 24 January 2020, with our grounds opening between 8am and 5pm each day, including all public holidays. Roving guards will conduct site visits during the day. Parents/carers are expected to provide appropriate supervision for their child or children.

We won an award

Last Thursday 5 December teachers, students and parents attended the Rise & Shine Awards in Wollongong. We received an award for first place in the category of "Most Improved School". The award was presented by the Lord Mayor. Congratulations to everyone who has been involved in the Community Garden. A well-deserved award.
